The Carra Family has been working in transport by road since 1866, when Giuseppe started building one-axle horse carts in a small shop, that became bigger and bigger as time went by. Later on Giuseppe\u2019s sons Angelo and Gino changed the shop into a real industry for trailer and wheel production. The Carra A.& G. Society was awarded silver medals at Milan 1906 and Turin 1911 Industrial Exhibitions in recognition of quality and solidity of the firm. In the years after the First World War the Carra A.&G. succeeded in producing an entirely homemade wheel ( \u201cthe autarkic wheel\u201d) for war carts. But it will be in the years after the Second World War that the Society obtained national fame thanks to an invention patent for steering rear axle trailer ( sold afterwards to the Viberti Society in Turin). The Carra Trailers had been built till the end of the sixties. Then Gino Carra\u2019 sons changed the activity and started to work mainly in commerce of industrial vehicles and servicing, becoming agent for big Societies like Man , Daf Trucks and, finally, Renault Trucks.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
In 1987, together with other activities, Interdrive was established, which is specialized in trading of new and used Trailers and also Trucks and Tractors in order to satisfy its customers\u2019 needs with a very wide choose of products.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
Today Interdrive deals with every kind of transport: from Tipper Semitrailers to low bed, from Containers to Curtain sider Semitrailers (also in Coils version), from platform tilt and box van semitrailers to Refrigerator and Walking Floor and also Exceptional and for Distribution (\u201cCity\u201d) Semitrailers. Beside that, Interdrive can take care of custom- made fitting out.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
Since 15 years Interdrive has also been involved into the racing world promoting the building of new and reconditioned Racing Semitrailers.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
